Aroma & Character
Common Vervein has a bitter taste with a hint of sweetness. Hints of chamomile and mint can also be detected. Due to its dominant bitterness, Common Vervein is often sweetened with honey or mixed with other herbs such as thyme, mint or chamomile. However, the bitter substances are good for the body. Common Vervein should not be confused with Lemon Verbena. While the latter is mainly consumed for its beguiling taste, the health aspect of Common Vervein is the main focus.
Origin
This high-quality Common Vervein grows wild in the sun-drenched regions of Albania, where it grows under the best conditions. The leaves are carefully harvested by hand, cleaned and gently dried to preserve the natural aroma and valuable ingredients. Albania is known for its production of first-class Common Vervein, which is prized all over the world.
