Aroma & Character
This Dong Ding Qingxin, carefully matured and masterfully roasted by Atong Chen, unfolds a strong, multi-layered aroma. Wood, vanilla and roasted aromas are already evident in the first infusion, accompanied by notes of toast and leather, which give the tea a special depth. The complexity typical of more oxidized and roasted Oolongs is enlivened by a hint of lemon zest, which gives the tea a subtle freshness. The flavor profile remains stable and full over the infusions, with decreasing intensity towards the end.
Origin
This Oolong comes from the Dong Ding region in Taiwan, a highland region known for its ideal climate and mineral-rich soil. These natural conditions, combined with traditional processing, give the tea its woody and leathery notes as well as the full-bodied, velvety structure that makes Dong Ding so special.

This Dong Ding Qingxin dates back to 1990 and was processed by the renowned Taiwanese tea master Atong Chen, whose skill and experience give the Oolong a deep, mature aroma. The stronger oxidation and roasting gives this Oolong its unmistakable profile. An ideal Oolong for connoisseurs of matured Oolongs.
