Aroma & Character
The 2023 Yongde Gushu Maocha develops fresh sage notes and a cooling effect on the tongue, accompanied by an elegant, gentle bitterness that becomes milder with each infusion. At lower temperatures, the tea reveals intense peach and grape notes, while at higher temperatures a fine note of citrus zest and a subtle astringency develop. The texture is soft and pleasantly tingling, and the tea remains surprisingly mild even with long infusion times. Particularly noteworthy is the strong Cha Qi, which provides lasting energy and mental clarity.

Origin
This tea comes from Yongde, Yunnan, a region known for its centuries-old tea trees (= gushu). The mixture of high altitudes, fresh mountain air and mineral-rich soil gives this tea its depth and complexity.
Specialities
This Gushu Maocha comes from the Yongde region in Yunnan and is made from old tea trees. Maocha is the original, uncompressed form of Sheng Pu-Erh and is offered directly after processing without pressing. This preserves its fresh, lively aroma. Its ability to develop multi-faceted aromas at both low and high temperatures makes it a tea that is perfect for various preparation methods.
