Aroma & Character

The Mingjian Traditional Jade Oolong impresses with its fresh, floral sweetness and long finish. The floral notes remain dominant over the first few infusions, accompanied by a hint of marzipan and a gentle astringency at higher temperatures. In later infusions, fine muscatel aromas, mineral nuances and a light, pleasant woody note emerge. With its gentle yet complex aroma, this tea invites you to enjoy a pleasurable experience that extends over many infusions.

Origin

Produced in Mingjian, Taiwan, this Oolong develops its typical profile thanks to the subtropical climate and mineral-rich soil. These natural conditions ensure the special balance of floral and mineral aromas that characterize the Mingjian Traditional Jade Oolong.

Specialities

The Mingjian Traditional Jade Oolong is processed with the utmost care by Master Atong Chen, one of Taiwan’s most renowned tea masters. The tea is characterized by its light oxidation, which emphasizes the floral and sweet notes without losing its freshness. Jade Oolong is made from the “Cui Yu” cultivar. Tip: Also try the Tanbei version of this tea, which has been roasted over charcoal, and discover how the roasting refines the taste!
