Aroma & Character

The Fuding Wuyi Jin Jun Mei is a masterpiece of black tea that delights with a shimmering golden, brilliant cup and a delicately spicy, aromatic taste. The very first infusion reveals sweet apple notes, cinnamon and subtle chamomile, accompanied by a pleasant maltiness. With subsequent infusions, plum and mineral notes emerge, giving the tea additional depth. Its exceptionally delicate leaves, interspersed with golden tips, and the consistent sweetness make it a pleasure to enjoy in up to 6 infusions.

Origin

The tea gardens are located at an altitude of 1200 meters in the border area between Fuding and Wuyishan, in the province of Fujian, China. The mineral-rich soils and subtropical climate of this region promote the development of the complex aromas and give the tea its famous delicately spicy and fruity elegance.

Specialities

The Jin Jun Mei, literally “Golden Beautiful Eyebrow”, is one of the youngest and most famous creations in the tea world. Developed in Wuyishan in 2005, it was originally produced as a special gift for high-ranking members of the government. This variant comes from the border area between Fuding and the Wuyishan Mountains , 1200 meters above sea level, a region known for its mineral-rich soil and ideal climate. The complex, hand-picked leaves and elaborate processing give this tea its incomparable depth of aroma. It is ideal as a fine gift or as a special highlight for tea lovers.
