Aroma & Character
Hongyu Cha Ruby is a powerful, multi-layered black tea that delights with intense aromas of root beer, spicy cinnamon, sweet cherry and vanilla. Fine lemon zest and cistus give it a tangy freshness, while its exceptionally long aftertaste rounds off the experience perfectly.

Origin
The tea is made from Taiwan’s famous Ruby cultivar, which was specially bred for black tea. Cultivation and processing are carried out with the utmost care to emphasize the unique depth and rich character of this tea.
Specialities
This Hong Cha (=black tea) comes from the masterful production of Atong Chen, one of Taiwan’s most renowned tea masters. The Ruby cultivar used (Tai Cha #18) is known for its distinctive aroma and pronounced sweetness and develops an impressively spicy and fruity taste profile in this tea, which is retained even after several infusions.
