Aroma & Character
The Shibushi Gyokuro Premium impresses with its fullfilling mouthfeel and pleasant, subtle aroma. The first infusion brings a gentle nuttiness and a subtle note of fennel, accompanied by a cooling effect on the tongue. The umami is rather mild and ensures a balanced cup. The Gyokuro retains its elegant, gentle structure in up to 3 infusions.

Origin
Shibushi Gyokuro Premium is grown in the Kagoshima prefecture in Japan. The mild, humid climate and the mineral-rich volcanic soil of the nearby Sakurajima volcano create ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality green teas.
Specialities
This Gyokuro comes from Shibushi, a region in Japan known for its exceptional tea quality. The leaves are shaded before harvesting, allowing the tea plants to develop a high content of theanine and chlorophyll, which gives the tea its smooth, sweet character. The premium status of this Gyokuro is characterized by the exceptional leaf quality and careful processing. Perfect for lovers of Japanese green tea who prefer a gentle, less intense Gyokuro.
