Aroma & Character
Our Tie Guan Yin impresses with its velvety-creamy mouthfeel, which fully unfolds in the first infusion. Slightly acidic notes lend it a fresh, lively nuance, while a subtle vanilla note provides a special depth in the second infusion. In the third and fourth infusions, mineral accents and a slight sweetness emerge, pleasantly rounding off the experience. This tea is elegant and complex, with a long-lasting, distinct aroma that remains present in every cup.

Origin
Tie Guan Yin comes from Anxi in Fujian province, China, one of the most famous oolong regions. The climate here is temperate and warm and humid, which, together with the region’s mineral-rich soil, provides optimal conditions for the tea plants to grow. The tea fields have been owned by local families for generations, whose experience brings out the natural quality and unique character of Tie Guan Yin.
Specialities
Tie Guan Yin from Anxi has been cultivated by local families in traditional tea gardens for centuries. The production of the tea requires particularly finely tuned oxidation and roasting processes, which give the tea its typical creamy and mineral structure. Anxi Tie Guan Yin is one of the “light” oolongs, in which the leaves are only minimally oxidized and then carefully rolled to preserve the fresh, floral aromas. The combination of many years of experience and traditional craftsmanship makes this tea particularly smooth, long-lasting and elegant.
