Schwarzer Tee, Pu Erh
China Anhui:

Origin

This Keemun Mao Feng comes from Qi Men County in Anhui Province, China, a region with a tea-growing altitude of around 800 to 900 meters. The mountainous region with its cool, foggy climate and mineral-rich soil offers ideal conditions for growing tea plants and characterizes the tea with its intense spiciness and softness. These conditions allow the leaves to fully develop their complex aromas and give Keemun Mao Feng its special character.

Specialities

Keemun Mao Feng originally dates back to 1875 and has since been traditionally produced in Anhui province as “red tea”, as black tea is called in China. The name “Mao Feng“, which means “hairy tip“, describes the fine, tapered leaves, which have a delicate fluff before processing. These leaves are fermented in an elaborate process and gently processed, giving the tea its unmistakable complexity and deep character. Its popularity among the English and on the Indian market shows how highly regarded this elegant, multi-faceted tea is worldwide.
