Aroma & Character
The Mingjian Jin Xuan impresses with its natural creaminess and sweet fruit notes such as peach. A subtle floral hint and fine citrus nuances round off the profile. Thanks to Atong Chen ‘s masterful roasting, the tea remains harmonious with medium oxidation and roasting, without the roasted aromas dominating. The aftertaste develops a gentle freshness with mint notes and a cooling effect on the tongue. The moist tea leaf smells delicately of apple and plum, an experience that reveals new facets with every infusion.
Origin
Mingjian Jin Xuan is grown in the Mingjian region of Taiwan. In the mineral-rich soils and subtropical climate, this famous cultivar develops its natural creaminess and fine fruity and milky notes, making it an iconic Oolong worldwide.
Specialities
The Culitivar Jin Xuan, is known among connoisseurs as the real Milky Oolong, thanks to its natural creaminess and milk flavors (not to be confused with the cheap artificially flavored “Milky Oolongs”, which were supposedly steamed with milk!) Master Atong Chen has roasted this tea with the utmost care to bring out its characteristic creaminess and subtle fruit and floral nuances. The Mingjian Jian Xuan yields 5-6 infusions.
